time to wrap up luang prabang and head to vientiane. i was bummed to heading out of luang prabang so soon. i coulda easily stayed another week. oh well, i was looking forward to going to vientiane, which is the capital of laos.

for my next journey in luang prabang, i decided to go trekking and kayaking before heading back to town for the huge boat festival. this festival is so big that you have to pay overtime at custom's for the people working,

in case you haven't heard, thailand, more specifically bangkok, is now in a state of emergency. on the 23rd, the american media published articles about protests & getting rid of the prime minister. there was much worry that there would be a military coup like in 2006 to overthrow the government.

Norway

norway is awesome in the summer. 24 hours daylight and amazing landscape. the norwegian sea is also a lot nicer to swim in than u'd think. one funny thing about a town called bergen is that it rains or is overcast 50 weeks out of the year. when the sun does shine, everyone comes out from everywhere & basically strip down to bask in the warmth of the sun. there were many girls who were just in their bra & panties since it was too difficult to get a suit. picture time...
